Update December 2008: We're just wrapping up our stay in Vancouver as the weather turns cold in the morning (30 degrees yesterday).
Here's the Trip Plan for SOUTH AMERICA. Our itinerary: Brazil (January and February), Buenos Aires (March), a cruise around the Horn to Chile (April), quickly through Bolivia to get to Peru (May-June), returning to the US on June 15.
And there's more: Here's the Trip Plan for SCOTLAND. Since my book is set in Scotland, Allen suggested for "truthiness" sake, we need to go, so September and October 2009. So I hope to walk for real in the highlands, with two weeks (or longer) in Edinburgh, Inverness, and the Orkneys (not Orkney Islands as Orkney means "seal islands" in Norse). We are tentatively planning to meander south to Spain to stay in Granada for 3-4 months to finish up my current writing project, Standing Stones, a novel set in Scotland during the time of the clearances (1844-1846).
Biking Across America 2010. Allen goes on the bike; I drive the SAG car. We'll start from the East Coast some time late spring 2010 and wind our way across country for five or so months. Interesting. Here's a planning page for Allen's Bike Trip.
My head and heart are full. Now you know the plans. Let mice and men worry about the rest.
